Lukla

Lukla, the gateway of Everest Base Camp Trek, has plenty of hotels and lodges. Everybody, who wants to reach the base, should reach there. While starting the journey, most trekkers do not stop at Lukla because they reach early and hike to Phakding or Namche for an overnight stay, but everybody stays there while coming back from the trek.  Lukla can be crowded when the flights are canceled due to the bad weather.

Phakding

Phakding is a tiny civic situated in between Lukla and Namche Bazaar.  As the trekkers land early at Lukla airport, move directly to Phakding for an overnight stay. It only takes 3 to 4 hours from Lukla. So, most of them head to Phakding on the same day.

Phakding has sufficient hotels with plenty of choices. You can accommodate in the hotels situated on both sides of the river.

Namche Bazaar

Namche, the largest commercial town and one of the most popular places in the Everest region, has a 5-star hotel- Everest View Hotel and several sophisticated Teahouses.

Here you can find several coffee bars and bakeries where you can have tea and coffee having relaxation. However, above Namche, the accommodations become more basic.

You will spend the next day acclimatizing yourselves here.

In the popular seasons as Spring and Autumn, Tengboche can be more chock-full as there are only a few teahouses with basic facilities. Moreover, as the elevation increases, the price for everything also does the same. Still, you can get pizza and other western food in some lodges.

Tengboche is also famous for its monastery as well. There is the world’s famous monastery and is the largest monastery in the Khumbu region. Many trekkers attend morning prayer there.

Dingboche

Dingboche, another chief stop for the trekkers and climbers, is situated at 4,400m above sea level. Trekkers stay there an extra day for acclimatization purposes.  You can find few lodges with elementary accommodation amenities. The family’s houses are turned into lodges there.

Lobuche

Lobuche, a settlement of hotels, has accommodation quite basic in both design and facilities. Therefore, in the peak season, it is quite uneasy to find accommodation.

However, in recent years, some lodges have been added with modern facilities and amenities. In addition, some teahouses provide oxygen service and internet as well.

Pheriche

Pheriche is situated in the northern part of Dingboche. There are some teahouses and a small health post as well. While trekking back from the Kala Patthar, trekkers spend overnight there.
