Machhapuchhre swims in Phewa Lake, Pokhara is really Pokhara ! (because the sight of Mt. Machhapuchhre’s image is seen on Phewa lake is crushingly beautiful)
The mesmerizing view of Pokhara proves that the writer of the above song Mr. Prem Prakash Malla didn’t just say the above lines in the song but he actually means them. Most of the tourists who visited Pokhara never get tired of appreciating the beauty of Pokhara and they conclude that one must visit Pokhara once in his/her lifetime.
Pokhara, one of the most beautiful cities in the world is the blessing of nature. Pokhara is the first destination for tourists who come to visit Nepal. The surrounding beautiful view makes Pokhara even more beautiful and the place that resembles paradise.
The main attractions of Pokhara are the amazing view of mountains (Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt. Annapurna, and Mt. Dhaulagiri), Phewa Lake, White Gumba, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor cave, Mahendra cave, Sarangkot and Paragliding, Ultralight, Bindabasini temple.

Phewa Lake is the first destination for Pokhara visitors. Most of the tourists love to spend time in beautiful ‘Lakeside’ at the bank of Phewa Lake and they love boating in the lake. Talbarahi temple which resides at the center of the lake also gets crowded by visitors.
Every day, lots of couples and families rent boats to explore Phewa Lake. You feel like you are in paradise when you explore this amazing lake and witness the boats floating on it. Tourists are very excited about fishing. Lake Side looks amazing after the evening too. The most attractive aspect for tourists is the paragliding from Sarangkot that lands on the bank of Phewa Lake.
Different colors of paragliding exploring the sky can be witnessed from the bank of Phewa Lake. Paragliding satisfies the adventurous needs of adventure lovers.
Davis Falls and Gupteshwor cave situated in Chorepatan are other attractions of Pokhara. The water of Phewa Lake meets Seti River after flowing through tunnels of Davis Falls and Gupteshwor cave. To see bubbles and the steam coming out of high forced water while entering the tunnel is really an amazing experience.
Gupteshwor cave is situated beneath the ground. Many tourists and locals enter this cave for entertainment and to pray to Gupteshwor Mahadev. If we go ahead of the temple in the cave, we can see the water of Davis Falls in the winter season.
Another attraction of Pokhara is White Gumba, a beautiful stupa situated at the hill above Phewa Lake. Pokhara visitors once visit this stupa too. The picturesque view of beautiful Phewa Lake, mountain, Sarangkot hills, and other amazing views from the stupa will melt your heart.
The major tourist sites in Pokhara are Bindabasini temple, Prithivi Narayan Shah Campus (campus that enrolls the highest number of students in Nepal), Halchowk hill, Begnas Lake, Rupa Lake, Mahendra Cave, Bat Cave, etc.
Another attraction of Pokhara is the eye-catching view of the Seti River which fascinates anybody.
Different trekking routes are available from Pokhara. Pokhara is the gateway for many trekkings such as Mustang, Poon Hill, Annapurna Base Camp, Ghandruk, etc.
The number of hotels and lodges for tourists has increased greatly in recent years. Many investors based on tourism are interested in Pokhara.
