Welcome to Kathmandu! Once you land at Kathmandu airport (Tribhuvan International Airport), retrieve your luggage and go through customs (visa, etc.). Then get to the arrival terminal. You will find our representative waiting to greet you. He/she will be holding Icicles Adventure Treks and Tour signboard with your name on it. A comfortable private transfer will take you to the reserved hotel. After checking in, we suggest you have a good rest for the remainder of the day to recover from the jet lag. Overnight in hotel.

After breakfast, we start an interesting tour around Kathmandu. Escorting by an English speaking guide (can be provide any language speaking guide on request) be, try to give them a full taste of our vivid culture image and an enchanting manner of its people. In our sightseeing tour we go to Monkey temple Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath Boudhanath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar square.

Durbar Square: -This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu. An intriguing piece here is the 17th century stone inscription set into the wall of the palace with writings in 15 languages. The Durbar square, protected as an UNESCO world Heritage site, is the social, religious and urban focal point of the city. There are also museums inside the palace building. There is an entrance fee of Rs.250 for foreign visitors. Your ticket to the Square entitles you to visit all the museums.

Swayambhunath, 6.5 kilometers west of Kathmandu, situated on a hillock, this 2000 years old Stupa is the world’s most glorious Buddhist shrine and is surrounded by several small pagodas. The main temple is capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt and is painted on the four sides with all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha.

Pashupatinath, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is the holiest and most famous Nepalese temple. Situated 5 kilometers northeast of Kathmandu on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, it is an impressive pagoda style structure with gilt roof and richly carved silver doors. It has bathing and cremation ghats, which are of absorbing interest to the tourist, particularly in the mornings and on festival day

Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world and an important Buddhist pilgrimage. The unique octagonal Mandala design with hundreds of prayer wheels and the 108 images of the Buddha set into the niches around the huge structure.  The area of Boudhnath is also famous for over 50 Tibetan Gompas or monasteries, the also being known as the ‘Little Tibet’..(Breakfast, Included)

Patan city nearby Kathmandu provides us the wonderful opportunity of sightseeing around ancient temples, palaces, handicrafts, stone works, metal works and other authentic nepali products. These art and crafts reflects the culture and tradition of local inhabitants mainly Newars. Visit to the Ashok stupas around the boundaries of the city, heavenly Patan Durbar square that was once the palace of ancient Malla Kings, Patan Dhoka, golden temple, mahaboudha temple, Krishna mandir and other musems reflects centuries old monuments.Bhaktapur city is the cultural Newar city located nearby Kathmandu linked by Araniko highway. Bhaktapur is known for its pottery art and artitecture that enthralls every visitors over here. Visit to Bhaktapur durbar square, museums, golden gate, 55 windows palaces and spectacular temples is worth visiting. Still the locals follow the ancient tradition and lifestyle along with their profession which is the primary source of their income. As soon as you enter the Bhaktapur, the bricked roads, ancient style houses and monuments symbolizes that being near to metro city Kathamandu, Bhaktapur is untouched from urbanization. There are also many hiking points on bhaktapur. You can hike up to Nagarkot and witness spectacular sunrise views next morning or drive upto panauti and hike to Namo Buddha monastery, the perfect day tour. (Breakfast, and Dinner Included)

We wake up early today to catch a glimpse of the spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas. Weather permitting, the seemly endless chain of mountains appear glossy in the north, while the entire Kathmandu valley can be clearly seen towards the west.

After we have breakfast we head to Chitwan National Park. On reaching the resort in the National Park, our Guest Relations Officer will brief guests after which you will be participating in an elephant safari, jungle walk, nature walk with boat ride and dinner will be ready at about 8pm Overnight at Hotel. A traditional dug-out canoe takes you on a silent trip down the Rapti River to view aquatic birds and the animals of the river banks. Jeep safari by land rover starts from canoeing put out point covering the distance of approximately 10km with chances of seeing rare wildlife. Elephant briefing: to learn more about the life of these fascinating animals during a visit to our elephant stables. Remaining hours before the afternoon program: take a dip in the pool, or relax on your verandah. Approximately, 4 hours drive to Pokhara. It is the second biggest city in Nepal offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, five peaks of Annapurna range and others. Numerous lakes of Pokhara offer fishing, boating and swimming, the city itself is popular as city of lakes. Pokhara is situated in centre of Nepal and it is nestled in a region of awesome natural beauty. The valley is filled with lush vegetations, swift flowing rivers and dotted with clear, shimmering lakes. It is one of the major towns of Nepal. Providing a perfect gateway from the chaotic life in the cities. Pokhara is the blessed with the backdrop of the one of the most dramatic sceneries in the world. A 140 Km of Panorama made up of towering Himalaya ranges seen chose enough to be touched on a clear day. If Kathmandu is the cultural hub of Nepal then Pokhara is the centre of adventure. Bindhabasini Temple
Lies in the center of religious old bazaar. It is dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati, yet another manifestation of Shakti. The park grounds offer a fine picnic and relaxing area.

Davis fall
Locally known as Patale Chhango and in the southern flank of the Pokhara valley is where the stream flowing from Fewa Lake collapses and surges down the rock into a deep gorge, leaping through several potholes. This is hugely popular with tourists and locals alike.

Gupteshwor Cave
The revered Gupteshwor Cave is situated 2 kms from Pokhara airport. The entrance is right across from Devi’s fall and the cave is almost 3 kms long. It has some big hall-sized rooms and some passages where you have to crawl on all four. This cave holds special value to Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved here in the condition it was discovered.

Phewa Lake and Barahi Temple
Situated at an altitude of 800m above sea level, it is the second largest lake in the kingdom. With the Barahi Island Temple in the middle of the lake it is the most important religious monument in Pokhara. Built almost in the middle of Phewa Lake, this two-storied pagoda is dedicated to the female force Shakti. The reflection of Mt. Machhapuchhare and Annapurna can be seen in its serene water. Thick forest lies on the adjoining southern slopes of the lake.

Seti River Gorges
Carved by Seti-Gandaki is one of the natural wonders of Pokhara. K.I. Singh bridge at Bagar, Mahendrapool & Prithivi highway Bridge near bus park, provides a perfect view of the river’s dreadful rush and the deep gorge made by the turbulent flow of white water.

Tibetan Refugee Camps
The Tibetan village Tashiling in the south and the Tashi Palkhel village in the north of Pokhara are renowned for the production and trade of woolen carpets and other handicrafts. The original Tibetan settlers in this region migrated to Nepal in the ‘50s. (Breakfast, Included)

Early in the morning about 45 minutes drive with 25 minutes hike take us to the top of Sarangkot to see the best sunrise and close views of many mountains like Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail including views of the beautiful the Pokhara Valley and Phewa lake. After we have some breakfast at Sarangkot, it’s a 15-minute walk down and 45 minutes drive to the hotel in Pokhara.
