Jungle Safari is the best way to explore the wilderness of the forests. There are two ways to go on a jungle safari- in jeep (Jeep Safari) or elephant (Elephant Safari). While Jeep drives you along the buffer zone (periphery of the central conservation area), Elephant intrudes into the deepest sections of the forest. In terms of time, Jeep Safari longs for about 4 hours, but Elephant safari only for 1 hour. Both options are amazing, but the choice is yours. You may as well try both of these safari options by taking an extra day out in your itinerary.
In Nepal, the Chitwan National Park (a UNESCO listed Natural Heritage Site) and Bardiya National Park are the most suitable and popular destinations for Jungle Safari. In these forests, many endangered species can be witnessed in their wildest nature such as the Royal Bengal Tiger, One-horned Rhinoceros, Asiatic Elephant, Gharials and Muggers, Python, etc. Plus, with over 650 distinct species of birds, these National parks boast the title of “Birdwatcher’s paradise”. Let us venture together in this remarkable adventure.
